The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources (MFOR) held its Annual Divisional Performance Assessment on Wednesday, 07 October 2026 at Tobwaan Marawa Maneaba, Tanaea. This year's assessment was more than a review of outputs and initiatives; it was a time to strategize on improving our approaches, listen to one another, foster greater integration across MFOR teams, and recalibrate towards the important targets and visions set for us by Government. MFOR benefited immensely from the invaluable insights and refreshing ideas shared by our external assessors and judges from the World Bank, UNICEF, and the UNRCO, which greatly enhanced our sense of direction and purpose. This assessment revigorated the spirits of MFOR teams and are ready to bring more impacts to their missions and positive waves of change to the people of Kiribati. The Ministry sincerely acknowledges our external judges, all our projects, and all MFOR teams for an excellent and enjoyable get-together this year.
