We are thrilled to announce a US$4 million grant from the Bezos Earth Fund to Live & Learn Environmental Education to support Kiribati in advancing our national Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) work!

Kiribati’s Head of Delegation to the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting, Director David Teabo, supported by senior officials from MFOR and MFAI, made the official announcement during the Small Island States Agenda at the recent Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting in Palau.

This five-year grant will be implemented by Live & Learn Environmental Education, working in close partnership with the Government of Kiribati. It will support MFOR and MSPCC in advancing their important work to protect, sustainably manage and steward our vast ocean home for generations to come.

Working with partners around the world, the Bezos Earth Fund supports efforts to conserve and restore nature, advance clean energy, develop new materials and transform food systems to create a more beautiful, healthy and resilient planet for all life, now and in the future.

The Bezos Earth Fund provides grants through eligible charitable organisations. For this work, Live & Learn Environmental Education will serve as the grantee and implementing partner, working closely with MFOR to support delivery in Kiribati.
