From August 5 to 6, 2025, a comprehensive autoclave installation and operational training was conducted at the Tanaea Hatchery. The session was led by a technical engineer from MediFix, Fiji, and attended by aquaculture staff, Dr. Satoshi Ohashi of the Overseas Fishery Cooperation Foundation (OFCF), and two representatives from the Seafood Toxicology Laboratory Division. The training focused on the proper installation, safe operation, routine maintenance, and sterilization protocols essential for ensuring and enhancing the efficiency of hatchery and laboratory procedures. This capacity-building activity was made possible through the generous support of the Japanese Government.
