Government Supports North Tarawa Communities with 19 Boats and Engines for Improved Livelihood

Fishing is much more than a simple activity as it is a way of life, vital source of sustainance and also support the economic well-being. Boats and engine for a better life and livelihood was one of the Government MFOR support to people of Kiribati. A total of 19 boats and engines was handed over last Saturday, 14 December, 2024 to communities of North Tarawa to improve their life . Honourable Minister Ribanataake and Mayor Francis sealed the hand over of these boat and engine parcels last Saturday at Ambo. This hand over ceremony was witnessed by MPs from North Tarawa, Island Council Clerk and staff of MFOR. The Mayor Francis acknowledged the Government for the generous offer and commit to maintain these assets for a better livelihood of the communities of North Tarawa.
