Honourable Minister Ribanataake Tiwau and Julio Moron, Managing Director of the Association De Grandes Atuneros Congeladores (AGAG), Spanish Fishing Company signed a fishing access agreement, yesterday 22 January 2025 at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources in Bairiki, Tarawa. The MFOR and AGAG have enjoyed a long-standing cooperation and partnership in the fishing sector and investments for more than 20 years. This year fishing agreement was a testament of the enduring commitments that mutually benefit the two agencies. AGAG is committed to increase more sustainable fishing in the Kiribati waters, as well as in-kind donations to the artisanal fishing communities of Kiribati. Minister Ribanataake acknowledged the Managing Director Julio and his delegation, together with Dojin representative MP Lavinia Teem for their unwavering support to the Government of Kiribati.
