The two senior officials from the Ministry of Fisheries & Ocean Resources(MFOR) participated in the East New Britain Initiative (ENBi) Implementation Strategy Workshop, demonstrating Kiribati’s strong commitment to advancing regional collaboration and equitable participation in the tuna value chain.

At the margins of the 9th Pacific Tuna Forum (PTF 2025), Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) Members convened on 13 October 2025 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort in Denarau, Nadi, for the 6th ENBi Working Group Meeting. The meeting provided a platform for members to discuss progress and strategic approaches to enhance Pacific Island engagement and value creation in the tuna industry.

Following the PTF, the ENBi Implementation Strategy Workshop was held on 16 October 2025, focused on formulating a regional implementation framework to guide future actions and investments under the initiative.
